Apple Tree – Kodály Method Song and Circle Game [Elementary Music Class]

The Apple Tree Song, presented to a group of music teachers for singing with children in a classroom or home setting. Also demonstrated is a ‘duck duck goose’ style circle game which fits perfectly in an elementary school or kindergarten music classroom. This song and game are standards of the Zoltan Kodaly Method and the Orff method.

Apple Tree is a classic Kodaly singing circle game for elementary general music. Class walks in a circle while the apple tree holds their arm up, on “out!” The apple tree drops their arm and knocks one student out of the game, continue going until only the winner(s) is left!
