🎮 Sonic Cat – Slash the Beats Review by #NimbleThor:
Sonic Cat is a music rhythm game inspired by the VR-title ‘Beat Saber’, in which we slash tiles falling from the top of the screen to the beat of EDM and Pop songs by tapping either the left or right side of the screen.

The game features plenty of tracks, most of which unlock as we progress, although we can also watch ads or spend in-game currency to unlock new tracks immediately. The futuristic art-style is beautiful and makes the tracks very enjoyable to play and beat, although the gameplay loop gets a bit repetitive after a while.

Monetization happens through forced and incentivized ads, and iAPs for more of the only in-game currency, which can be used to unlock new tracks and cosmetics for our character.

Total game size: 304 MB – Offline Playable

Hope you enjoyed this Sonic Cat – Slash the Beats gameplay video, which is the newest episode in my Mobile Gaming Quest (MGQ) of finding the very best mobile games every single day, sharing my first impressions with you fine folk!

  1. A rhythm game with just two buttons and only taps. I feel attacked.

  2. First to like can you see my comment on my comment on Coromon vid cause I have some new game that is fun plz

  3. Another AWESOME video as always And am a Lil disappointed that penguin is saying he's the one that recommended it when I tweeted it to you and sent you a video on you're Awesome discord channel 😢

  4. This is what it says on their app store page: "If any producer or label has an issue with any of the music used in the game, please send email to us and it will be deleted immediately if necessary", which is making me think they haven't actually licensed any of the tracks they use in their game and are just hoping they won't get sued lol.

  5. Nice share, as usual!

I've played the game and its core gameplay is looking visually stunning. I didn't like it that you can only miss once, though the difficulty isn't that high to be upset with it. I only had one problem in my first play when I didn't expect that the game will throw me straight into the gameplay (WITHOUT TUTORIAL?!). After that, it went pretty easy.

I also feel like the rhythm is sometimes off and the moments when I need to tap do not always correlate with the music. Is it me, or is it the game? I've found a calibration tool in the settings and it helped me a bit. But I still feel like there are some filler taps which don't relate to the actual beats. Also, the cat hero looks like a Meowgik character from Archero.
